From the Owner:

Memory Maker
Our journey to the lake house was a slow and thought out process as we had many
requirements. After looking for many years and seeing homes located from one end of
Lake Burton to the other when we walked into 199 Cherokee Point we knew that we had
found our home. The home meet so many of our top requirements including fee simple,
guest apartment, protected water, paved road, master on main, spacious, and most
important to us, welcoming lake feel.
Our thoughts on the lake house fill our being with contentment of friends and family that
gathered thru years and seasons to spend time making memories. Many of these
memories can be seen on the board as you walk into the house from the garage.
Whenever we pass by the board we think of the events we see and the time that was
spent with those we hold dear to our hearts. Our first grandchild grew up with memories
of walking in the woods and playing Star Wars with sticks we found along the way. Our
next grandchild spent time napping in my arms in the covered boathouse as we
watched her brother swimming in the lake. Our children, although grown, have
memories of watching sports on the screen porch with the fire blazing and nightly
cruises on the lake to watch sunset followed by meals cooked outside on the grill. Their
friends often coming up for long weekends with hours of wake boarding and tubing from
sunrise to sunset. Our parents, old as they were, made the trip to the lake house to
spend time with all the family as we often can not get everyone together. Finding them
napping under the back porch with the fan gently blowing on them often putting a smile
on our face. Friends always checking their calendars to make sure they had a spot open
for a visit with their families. The saying is true, you never know how many friends you
have till you have a lake house.
We have now moved onto a new chapter in our life and trips to the lake are few and far
between. We feel it is time for another family to start their journey of making special
memories at the lake house we choose to call............Memory Maker.
